Original Candyman Tony Todd’s movie ‘Candy Corn’ seeks revenge on bullies in new trailer

Tony Todd in “Candy Corn”

As we wait for official word if horror icon Tony Todd will be featured in Jordan Peele’s reboot of Candyman, fans can get their Tony Todd horror fix with Candy Corn!

Epic Pictures and DREAD have released a brand new poster and trailer for Josh Hasty’s feature film, Candy Corn. The film is set to be available on VOD and Blu-ray on September 17th.

The film takes place on Halloween weekend as a group of bullies are planning their annual hazing on local outcast, Jacob Atkins. When they take things too far, he’s resurrected to seek revenge against those that wronged him.

Judging by the wicked trailer, the movie seems like a horror anthem against bullying, and a rallying call for all the “freaks” of the world – I can dig it.

Candy Corn is written & directed by Josh Hasty (In Hell Everybody Loves Popcorn), starring horror icon Tony Todd,  P.J. Soles (Halloween), Courtney Gains (Children of the Corn), Pancho Moler (3 from Hell), Sky Elobar (The Greasy Strangler), Caleb Thomas (The Terror of Hallow’s Eve), Lovlee Carroll (Anabolic Life), Matt O’Neill (Edgar Allan Poe’s Lighthouse Keeper), and Nate Chaney.

The award-winning SFX make-up team includes Justin Mabry (sculptor of the Michael Myers mask in the 2018 Halloween), Chris Gallaher (Fear the Walking Dead) and Erik Porn (American Horror Story). So it looks like we’re in for some cool looking scenes that will give us delicious nightmares!
