Stories Make the World Go Round

“If I didn’t define myself for myself, I would be crunched into other people’s fantasies for me and eaten alive.” – Audre Lorde

Everyone works. They deserve to live too.

Stories can shape the world. They create narratives of how we, as humans, see ourselves and those around us. Stories can inspire and they can also defeat. This immense power of storytelling is in our hands to explore, dissect and engage with. Whether it be stories about the day to day or important figures and moments in history to inspire us. I believe narrative greatly influences the way people see the world, and I’ve made it my mission to help shape that narrative to empower and inform the people for the greater good.

Hi, I’m Chauncey K. Robinson. I’ve had a career as an award-winning journalist and film critic for some time now— so I’m fully aware of the impact stories have on people. I was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, and I have a strong belief in people power. And I believe one of the ways to empower the people is to remind us of our strength, our past, and the possibilities of our future.

That’s where this content comes in at. I believe self-care through knowledge and empowerment is essential for working people. Plenty of us work— but we also exist in a society that rarely encourages us to truly LIVE.

I’ve created this space to share my thoughts and analysis regarding culture.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I’m up to. Hopefully I can help you feel deeply and think critically about the stories you take in that influence your life journey.
