Devilworks drops new art and trailer for alien sci fi ‘After The Lethargy”

I’ve never really been afraid of the alien sub-genre in horror, but if the story is done well, and the mystery is well placed, then there’s always the possibility of a good movie.

A new trailer has been released for the alien science fiction horror film After The Lethargy from producer Marc Carrete (Framed).

After The Lethargy tells the story of a young journalist who travels to a war shelter, where one of history’s most terrifying alien abductions supposedly happened. While there she discovers she is being hunted by a family of hybrid human aliens!

Devilworks has boarded Worldwide rights for the film and will present it to buyers in Berlin at the European Film Market (EFM).

The trailer looks eerie enough, although some of the scenes of women on hospital tables, propped open like they’re at a gynecologists appointment, gives me pause to know that this definitely won’t be a movie for the squeamish.

Which sort of reminds me why I’m not the biggest fan of alien horror movies, because usually the fictional experiments often include a woman being impregnated with the alien entity… It’s an often done trope. Guess we’ll see if this film puts a new spin on that.

The film stars Andrea Guasch (Submergence), Joe Manjón (Framed), Ramon Canals (Asmodexia), and Mark Schardan (Realive). This is Marc Carret’s first feature in English.
